Which Suit?
We all know that in these testing economic times giving a good impression is all the more important - Wearing a smart suit is a sure way to make that good impression. However did you know that the type of suit you wear is equally as important? There are several factors that will make the right image work for you...
Style
right now suits with two button fastenings more fashionable than three button fastenings, and one or two side vents are better than no vent to the jacket.
Colour
Always choose a dark cloth, its more flattering (especially to the bigger man) Plain black, navy or dark grey are always acceptable and pinstripes are very good for the shorter figure.
Cloth
Choose a suit cloth that best suits your needs. Lightweight all wool materials are great to wear but crease badly if worn for long periods of time. If your day includes long periods commuting on the train of car avoid these cloths at all costs. Better to choose a lightweight wool mixture ideally with a small proportion of lycra included in the fabric which will give the material some elasticity and will allow the cloth to spring back into shape.
Fitting
How often do you see a badly fitting suit? It's so important to get expert advice to ensure the suit you buy flatters your figure rather than destroying the image you're trying to achieve. Buying the best cloth you can afford will not work if the suit does not fit properly. There are now short, regular and long fittings available together with short-portly and regular-portly fittings to give that ideal fit. Mix and match sizing which allows you to choose the jacket and trouser size separately all help to give the perfect fit. Most good clothing shops also have a tailor on hand to fine tune the suit you have chosen.
